Had a very small soda stream party. It was scheduled and held while the flu was active in our area. Then I took the goodies to friends homes who couldn't come. Over all everyone was impressed. The flavors we tried were very good.  easy to make, the carbonation level is up to you. So they taste good, are easy to make. However one friend did the math... the cartridge makes up to 60 liters, priced at walmart @ 30.00 dollars, then you also have to buy the flavor packets. So it seems to be a bit more expensive, yet you save the environment of all those two liter bottles............. If only soda stream could come down just a bit in the carbonation bottles it would be great. over all the product gets a thumbs UP

Making Laundry detergent, is how I spent this afternoon. I found a hints for home site and sent my Ray to my local market to get my supplies. So excited to save a dollar or more. I followed the recipe. The smell was oddly familiar to me. I remember this scent.

I will let you know how it turns out. It has to sit for 24 hours to gel. Here's the recipe for you

  • 1/2 Cup: Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda {not Baking Soda}
  • 1/2 Cup: Borax
  • 1/3 Bar of Fels-Naptha Soap {you could also use Ivory soap, but if using Ivory… use the whole bar}
  • Bucket {2 gallon size or larger}
  •     Empty laundry detergent containers or bucket with lid to store detergent.

    You can get step by step directions at link below.  go at it! Have fun

    Tried Purina Dog Chow's Active Life dog food today, with a surprising result. My Yorkie Oscar is the pickiest eater ever. He gets hot dogs and fried eggs for breakfast. Rarely gets dog food because he usually turns his nose up to it. I presented the food to him in the evening so he wouldn't protest for his usual breakfast. Much to my surprise he ate it. At first he sniffed and circled his bowl. After a bite he devoured the rest. I was pleasantly pleased.

    Made with real chicken, he gets lean protein and nutrients in these kibbles. He wont be gaining excess weight. Supports a healthy weight balance. Maintains a good immune system. Provides a healthy active life, and if you know yorkies, they are very active.

    You should give it a try.

    Received this awesome Boogie Wipes package. Having grandchildren running and crawling around this time of year always increases the cases of runny noses. Boogie Wipes are saline, safe and gentle for even my treasured babies. They come in convenient travel packs as well as the big canister of pull up wipes. They are scented in "grape" which was the over all winner among the children and the "fresh" which I liked. A foaming sanitizer in a bag sized bottle is handy.

    Kandoo is the "mascot" which seems to be liked well by kids. A complete line of personal care items which include flushable wipes, hand soap, body wash, foaming hand sanitizer as well as the boogie wipes. other items available in funny berry, magic melon and tropical smoothie scents. Do yourself and the little ones a favor......................

    settling in my new blog

    Okay I am here. Are ya'll tickled as I am? I plan on writing everyday about something. Whether it's what makes me cry or laugh, or something just makes me sad or mad. Perhaps we will agree but usually I am the devil's advocate ( doesn't that sound bad).

    Well I guess that's it for now, cause I have a pot of lentils going and I hate to burn them. Need to peel some carrots. my House is smelling like the fresh basil I cut and the bay leaves in the beans. Yummy.
